The Flamingo provides fresh new arts venue in Fondren.

On Thursday, October 5, 2017, The Flamingo opens its door during Fondren After Five. The space, formerly home to Land vs Ocean, is now home to the brainchild of Significant Developments.

"We decided to open The Flamingo to offer another space in Jackson for the art and music cultures to be showcased and thrive. We would like to think that it will fill that void that exists between the larger venues that are out of reach of some artists and performers and the smaller venues and house parties that others have grown out of. Our purpose is to host a wide array of different types of art and music, as well as any events we think are dope or we see as fitting into the larger aesthetic of showcasing all the things we think are cool. We are designers, artists, event planners, and performers who want to bring all that experience to the table as curators and presenters with our new spot."  - Garrad Lee, Co-Founder of The Flamingo.

On Friday, October 6, 2017, The Flamingo will serve as a concert venue for local artists Clouds and Crayons, James Crow, and The Jackson Jackals for their Grand Opening Party.

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, The Flamingo will transform into a Pop-Up Retro Boutique selling off cool vintage furniture.
